Christmas Log Cabin from Night Owl Quilting


I had the pleasure of quilting the fabulous log cabin quilt.  It was made with a countless number of fabrics all with a Christmas theme. Scrappy yet elegant, and holiday but in a subtle way.  Sadly the maker of this quilt did not get to see it finished before she passed away, but her quilting friends are seeing it to the end and will donate it to be used as a fundraiser.


I chose the Allium pantograph and my favorite gold thread - Superior's Magnifico in colour 2063 Clover Honey.  I'm adding more pictures so that you can enjoy ...

Quilter's Panel Quilt from Night Owl Quilting


Marion brought this fun quilt made with cute quilt and sewing machine themed panels and a fun layout.  She originally was thinking of custom quilting.  When I saw the fabrics , and wasn't sure how much of the quilting would actually show at the end of the day, I gave Marion another option to consider.


I suggested using an all over design, but with a very thin thread that would not detract from the panels that are the focus of the quilt.  Marion went for this option and we used Superior's Microquilter thread in #7006 Champagne.

Reneta's Alternate Routes from Night Owl Quilting


Reneta made this bold and beautiful version of the Alternate Routes pattern by Highway 10 Designs.  Once you get the blocks made for this quilt, there are so many possibilities for the layout that you can truly make it you own like Reneta did.


I tried my best to capture the rich purple color of the fabric, but somedays pictures just seem extra hard.


Reneta chose the Allium Pantograph and I think it compliments the design of her printed fabric perfectly.
